Only the essential logical story puzzles I'd need to solve in a detective story.

Intricate Myst like puzzles that involve numbers, shapes, colours, sounds etc., to fix or to make an elaborate machine work/open a lock/discover evidence.

Complex "creator puzzles" where the player is forced to guess what kind of logical puzzle the creator intended, like seeing what inventory items work with other items/environment/people etc, to advance the story/game.

19. How would you like to figure out who did it?

I don't want to figure it out.

No special way, just tell me the story in simple visual, audio and/or literary fashion, and I'll choose who, what, where, when, etc.

Give me a system for organizing evidence and facts and let me put the pieces together as I see it.

I don't want to.

After choosing who who did it, with what weapon, and where (like Clue), have the story (or police/someone else) take over.

After coming up with who did it, create an elaborate plan to capture the criminal based on their profile.

Accuse the criminal straight and eventually get them to turn themselves in, or use force to take them down.

Yes, I like as many features as possible.
