2025 Application
  The ADA Scholars program will offer career development opportunities for early career health care professionals. The program will include lectures, workshops and interactive networking opportunities. Participants who are accepted into this program will:

* Receive practical guidance on career development
* Develop relationships amongst attendees
* Interact with senior leaders in the field

Applicants who are selected will be required to attend designated in-­person or virtual events in 2025.

A select number of applicants will be awarded a scholarship to attend the in-­person 85th Scientific Sessions and the ADA’s Clinical Update Course, as well as receive a complimentary one-­year ADA Professional Membership.

Eligibility:
Eligibility for this program is limited to early career health care professionals who meet one of the following requirements:

1) Medical residents who are confirmed in an ACGME accredited program

2) Graduate student (master or doctoral) at an accredited college or university

3) Fellows currently enrolled or were recently enrolled (2 years out) in:
>Pediatric endocrinology
>Adult endocrinology
>Diabetes
>Other related fellowship program

4) Early career clinician or research scientist (within 2 years of fellowship or postdoc completion)

ADA Scholars applicants will be required to submit:

- Evidence of commitment to a diabetes career (personal statement/essay of 250 words)

Program Components:
ADA Scholars provides early career health care professionals with unique networking and educational opportunities, including engagement with key leaders in clinical diabetes care.

One ADA Scholars applicant will be selected to receive the Andrew P. Goldberg Early Career Award in memory of Dr. Goldberg’s exceptional contributions to the field of aging research and diabetes.
